He has also made these five pledges to Grimsby.

Fight for Grimsby, not Europe
For too long this area has suffered from the diktats of Europe, from the Common Fisheries Policy to the weights we buy our food by Europe seems determined to wipe away our national heritage - but most of all our pound.
I promise I will always fight for Grimsby and Britain, not Europe. And I am the only candidate in Grimsby who is pledged to keep the pound.

Restore the 150 police officers cut by Labour
150 Police officers are missing from duty in Humberside - and it's no co-incidence that the drop in numbers and rise in crime have happened since Labour came to office.
I, and the Conservative Party, are pledged to reverse these cuts. I want to make sure it is the good law-abiding citizen who is in charge - not the criminal.

Ensure our children get the best education
Under Labour secondary school class sizes have increased and teachers are tied up in red tape - and the recent OfSTED report shows that Labour controlled North East Lincolnshire Council continues to produce below average results.
Only a Conservative Government, setting schools free and allowing teachers to teach, will save Grimsby's children from Labour's failure.

Support motorists - not Gordon Brown
A car is essential for many people in Grimsby, but drivers are always seen as a target for the Labour Party whenever they want other people's money. And the Council creates plain daft bus lanes tat are underused and hurt the small businesses relying on passing trade.
I will continue to campaign against Labour's high petrol taxes and farcical local traffic schemes.

Stop the incinerator
Labour controlled North East Lincolnshire Council is intent on giving planning permission for an incinerator whose pollution will cover the whole of Grimsby.
I am determined that the Council must listen to the protests of local people rather than the wishes of big business - and refuse permission for the incinerator.
